Get dropped at the right station.

Alex is driving from Reading to Bristol. You need to get to Cardiff. Partway checks every station along the drive and finds the best place for Alex to drop you, so you can catch a train the rest of the way without sending Alex miles off the motorway.

How it works

Three steps, about ten seconds.

1

Tell us about the drive

Where it starts, where it ends, and where you actually need to be. First names are optional, and that's honestly all we ask for.

2

We check every station on the way

Partway looks up real trains and ticket prices for every station along the route, then weighs each one against just catching a train from where you are now. The best two, three or four make your shortlist.

3

Alex picks a stop

Tick the stops you're happy with and send Alex one link. Alex sees the places and what each detour adds, never any prices, and picks one with a tap.

What you get

A shortlist, not a spreadsheet.

Best balance Fastest Cheapest Easiest for Alex

Usually two to four stops. Each one shows when you'd hop out, which train you'd catch, what the ticket costs, and what you save. If you're curious how we worked it out, that's one tap away.

A lift saves you money, not time.

We measured real routes before building this. Trains out of big towns are quick, and motorway traffic is not, so a lift rarely gets you there sooner. What it does get you is a cheaper ticket from a better station, and that's exactly what Partway hunts for. If you'd do better just catching a train from where you started, it tells you that straight.

The app is on its way.

We're building Partway for iPhone first, starting with UK trains. The link you send the driver already opens in any browser, so Alex never has to install anything.
